Carolyn Evans Hammond

Carolyn Evans Hammond is a wine columnist, three-time author, and content creator — one of North America's most trusted voices in wine and lifestyle media.

Carolyn has been writing about wine for more than 20 years. She has been the Toronto Star's contributing wine columnist for more than a decade — writing weekly for one of Canada's most widely read newspapers. Her work has also appeared in Decanter, Wine Spectator, Wine & Spirit International, The Times (London), and Maclean's, among other leading publications.

She is the author of three books, published by Sourcebooks, DK, and Alpha — books written to introduce readers to wine without the intimidation.

Carolyn hosted The Wine Find, a travel series streaming on the Access Luxury channel on Roku across North and South America, the UK, Ireland, France, and Germany, and on Prime Video in the US and UK. She has also appeared on CNN International, BON TV (China), Canada AM, and CITY-TV, and on radio stations across the United States. She reaches a fast-growing community of nearly 25,000 wine and spirits lovers on Instagram — a number that climbs by hundreds each week — where she shares weekly recommendations and the bottles worth seeking out.

A longstanding member of the Circle of Wine Writers (UK), Carolyn holds the WSET Diploma and a BA from York University. She conducts private tutored tastings and travels the world to meet winemakers and taste at the source — bringing a discerning palate and genuine curiosity to everything she writes and recommends.
